There are a handful of blogs that I enjoy visiting. Some are for content - the gorgeous creations, eye candy and scrappy goodness. Others occasionally have scrappy content but for the most part, it's random nothingness - pics of the kiddies (which are often hilighted in projects), daily thoughts, ramblings, etc.
Question: Would you mind at all if I were to throw in some 'personal' stuff to my blog mix? I was just thinking of how nice it is to browse my fave blogs and see new pics, projects, content, anything really, on a daily basis. Of course I adore the scrappy goodness but am equally content to see adorable pics of the wee ones, ramblings of motherhood, etc, etc....
Just a thought.... I like seeing 'real life' photos of people, in the proper context or with a description every now and again. Helps me connect to the individual on a more personal level? Anyhow..... I'll leave you with a few pics from the last little bit. I've been crackin' down on the projects for CHA lately and my blog is looking like it needs a little love!!! I have so many things to show you all - but everything is under wraps for the next little bit so please be patient.
Oh yea - that reminds me.... A New Year calls for a New Blog Giveaway wouldn't you say? Stay tuned in the next few days for some deets!
Me and my crazy kiddos - this was me asking them to 'smile nicely' so mommy can have one fantastic photo of her and her babies. This is what they gave me.... *sigh*

Well, that's about as good as it's gonna get! LOL....
Oh my - I am soooo proud of this little peanut!! His daddy registered him for hockey (mommy was totally against it - not big on the 'contact' sports - plus he's only 4!!) and to our surprise/ delight, he ADORES it - not to mention the fact that he is fantastic!! He just 'gets' it.
He is so good - has amazing hockey sense - just knows where to be on the ice? Crazy - anyhow... I was kind of hoping that he 'wasn't' very good as that could have been my excuse to have him not play... but alas, he is truely a wonderful little hockey player and with the last name "Orr".... but I digress.
Here is little Miss E all bundled up!! The field near our house froze over and we were lucky enough to have a wonderful morning of skating!! Sooooo fantastic! (thank goodness I had the stroller to hold onto or I would have totally bailed - its been WAY too long since I was on a pair of skates!)

Hi there.. in my blog hopping experience i don't mind reading about family life and seeing piccys of the kids and the dog etc too.. it does help to get to know the person a bit better... so i don't mind at all.. i love your family photos.. they made me smile.. kids are fantastic aren't they!!?? they don't take life too seriously!! they teach us parents a lot about life!!
I think it's your blog Tara and you can do whatever you want in it...I think so long as you continue to share your scrappy loveliness with us when possible, you won't lose any viewers!

The pics are great, I prefer blogs that have a mix of life as well as scrappiness, like you say, it helps to get to know the person. Plus, I'm nosy, I find it really interesting to see how other people are living their lives all around the world! x

I agree - your blog - so you can do anything you choose to do! I LOVE your photos - that first one especially - cracked me up - you smiling so pretty and the faces on your kids - LOL! I personally think it's great to see pics and random stuff on people's blogs. We all live the life that we scrapbook and enjoy sharing those experience with others.
I always love reading about the real life of the bloggers. The scrappy stuff is great but it makes so much more sense when you see the personal story behind it. Thanks for sharing!!!
