Summer Fun & Summer Tags

Just wanted to share a few summer tags with you while I'm between layouts and waiting on the next monthly packages to arrive *grins*. I always get so excited when I open my boxes up - its like instant mojo!!

Created this tag with Basic Grey's Origins collection - LOVE the colours in this (even though its a little 'older' now). The turtle body was actually a flower I cut out from one of the papers and the shell, from another - it just looked so much like a turtle to me??

Its been SUPER hot and humid here and we haven't had much energy to do more than run through the sprinkler or visit our neighbourhood waterpark. We DID have an inflatable pool but after spending about 2hrs trying to blow it up and almost passing out at least 3 times, I discovered it had a hole - um, ya think! Whatever! Filled it up with water anyhow - lasted the day at least - better than nothing and the kids had a blast!

I told them it was going to be cold (JUST filled it up with the hose water - we know how cold that is right...) They couldn't wait - look at their expressions - HA!! Eden's lips are actually blue! (poor dear...)

The cold wore off quickly and soon the kids were having the time of their lives - mommy too!

Hope you're having a great week so far! I'm so stoked, just returned from Value Village with a HEAP of crochet doilies!! I am SO happy - I CANNOT and WILLNOT make these myself but I am so inlovewiththem! I've cleaned out my local thrift stores and was like, where else would have them??? Oh yea baby!!!
