I adore TEXTURE on my pages and this one is simply ooozzzzing with different fibres - lace, paint, cardboard, corkboard, bling - nummo!!!

Here's a layout I did of my ds waiting ever so patiently for me to take his photo. Always looking for that perfect moment to snap the shot and this time I captured the moment wonderfully. Can't you just see the annoyance in his look - LOL!

I used the Glittered sheets from
Petaloo to mat the photo. My roses were created from the Flora Doodles Value pack - I simply altered them just a titch by cutting off a few petals, gluing together, and curling the petals (same as the rose tutorial really...) I just love the texture of them.

The bling is from
Zva Creative - well, one of them is at least (the one on the bottom is the one I made). When you remove the crystals from the transparent sheet they leave behind a slight indentation. You can use this sheet to create your own bling by tracing the dots left behind with 3D paint. Once dried, I cut out and ended up with my own little bling! (Thanks to Gabi for this idea!)
I purchased a package of very thin corkboard at Daiso which I used as a background piece as well as a die cut shape under the photo. SO easy to work with and I just love the texture it offers.

The 2 kinds of lace were also purchased at Daiso - CHEAP!! I painted and misted them to match my papers. The doily was also purchased at the dollar store - just painted it black and glimmer misted it a bit too. Man, come to think of it, I am definately a thrify gal eh? I just get so excited when I find a sweet deal - can't resist!
The paper is from
Crate's Prudence collection - perfect for boy layouts (although I did manage to add flowers didn't I?) TFL!

This is beautiful! Love the textures!
Hi Tara -
Just had to pop over to tell you about my chuckle about the "non paying job" comment you left on Julie Bonner's blog. I totally get what you mean. Keeping the balance is definitely an art.
Hope you are well and your layout is beautiful. Take care -
