As most of you know, my weakness is gorgeous patterned papers. The majority of my layouts are inspired by amazing papers and photos of my kiddos. I simply fell in love with this vintage paper by The Girls' Paperie and HAD to have it. Check out Scrapbook Star's New Arrivals if you want some!
This layout features glitter and bling to the max! I didn't think I'd know what to do when I received my goodies from Petaloo this month. Glitter, glitter EVERYWHERE! EEK! Anyhow, I ended up transforming the product to suit my style and I think it ended up quite fine - LOL! There aren't any 'rules' in scrapbooking and I think that's what I like about it so much - you can do whatever you want and nobody will question it! There's no such thing as a 'mistake'!For this layout I used the Dazzlers Collection by Petaloo.
Here is a close up of the roses I made from the Glittered Sheets - they are so wonderfully textured that they actually feel like material. The glitter is applied by hand rather than by machine and as a result there is very little lost when you cut or shape the product. I was very impressed by this as I am normally wearing more of the glitter than my project is when I normally work with glittered chipboard, etc.
I also made some butterflies and a trim for the photo with the Glittered Sheets - so versatile. I ended up spraying the lace with my Shimmerz Spritz (Red Barn) and then adding some Dazzlers Sequins where the flowers were. These little babies are perfect for flower centres, edging, making your own swirls, etc. LOVE them!
These flowers are actually the Flora Doodles Blooms (Value Bag in Pink/Black/White/Grey) but were just too cutsie for me. I tend to prefer the 3D type of blooms and these ones were the 7 petal flat ones. Don't get me wrong, they are wonderfully gorgeous flowers, but I needed something more 'vintage' for this layout so I decided to alter them. The tiny blooms are Dazzlers florettes - so sweet! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
