A Little Ahead of Myself

Oopsy!

In my excitement over the many projects I had created in the last little bit, I was so eager to post them all - finally! BUT I've just found out that I am only able to post the sneaks for you and cannot reveal the entire layouts/projects on my own blog until the end of November.

NEVER FEAR!!

You can still see them in all their glory (LOL) at the Scrapbook News & Review site and Forum!!

P.S. - DH has most definately caught the piggy flu... not good.

Me Again... (HEAVY POST WARNING)

Well would you look at that - over a week and nothing and then all of a sudden, 3 posts in 3 days with a ton of layouts and projects! All or nothing right??

I thought I'd post these sooner than later just in case - dear hubby is feeling under the weather and of course I am immediately thinking H1N1... My daughter is teething like mad and as a result has a fever today (at least I hope its from teething...) so yea.... I'm a little on the stressed side and have a few more deadlines fast approaching so I do not think I will be posting much in the next week.

I wanted to share with you some layouts I did for Scrapbook News & Review's Kit Club Review of Kit 'N' Kaboodles August Kit.

This kit is SERIOUSLY amazing!! It was JAM packed full of papers, embellies, chipboard projects - definately worth its cost in paper alone! It included 2 sheets of EACH patterned paper, 2 sheets of EACH cardstock, letter stickers, 2 kinds of flowers, ribbon, glossy accents, journaling stickers, etc, etc. Just fantastic!!

I just loved how much paper was included in this kit - never once felt like I had to conserve the paper or use sparingly. This layout was THICK! Look at how many layers there are!!

Hidden journaling tag. I used a doilie and sprayed with Walnut ink and hand stitched along the corners to tie in the brown colour.

The cool leaf ribbon was so neat to work with and matched so well with the fall colours and theme of the patterned papers.

The chipboard that was included in the kit was extremely high quality. Glossy accents to it and very easy to work with as it tied in seamlessly with the papers.

Some detailing of fussy cutting (I traced some grungeboard and cut out on cardstock as I wanted to primarily use what was in the kit), stitching and masking.

Here are the letter stickers that were included with the kit. I added the glossy accents to them to give a little them a little more punch.

The journaling tags were also included and again, such high quality! Loved this kit completely!

I had quite a few pieces of cardstock leftover that I wanted to use so this is a simple layout I created using only 2 sheets of cardstock, flowers, my journaling pen and thickers. Just found that the blue and brown complimented eachother so well!

Close up of a flower that I traced and then cut out from the cardstock. A little doodling goes a long way eh?

Close up of some doodling I did. Can you see the glossy accents that I applied to the flower? It gave such a neat 'glass-like' finish - so cool! Gotta love that Swiss Dots Bazzill!

Be sure to head on over to Scrapbook News & Review to check out all of the amazing projects created by the rest of our staff who had the pleasure of working with this kit!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Some Graphic 45 Projects

It was with great pleasure that I had the opportunity to work with some of Graphic 45's newest lines - Christmas Past and Domestic Goddess! YUMMY!

Take a peek in the Forum over at Scrapbook News & Review Magazine for some amazing artwork from our staff.

I just loved working with these papers - such gorgeous patterns and colours!

Here are a few projects I created with their Domestic Goddess line - the Christmas Past projects will be on display during our Holiday Sampler Event taking place on November 7th. Be sure to check it out!!

A Christmas cracker that I created using an empty toilet paper roll covered with some Bazzill and Graphic 45!

There are so many elements in these papers that when cut out, make the perfect finishing touch.

Here is an altered recipe box I created using the gorgeous papers from Domestic Goddess.

The die cut is from Bo Bunny - I found that the softness of the brown complimented the warmth of the Graphic 45 paper perfectly. Two of my little peanuts. They have that extra special bond. Journaling reads: The 2 of you just have a special bond that surpasses typical sibling love.

Close up of some new Prima flowers - love 'em!

My dear husband and I a few weekends ago at his brother's wedding. Not sure what we were 'arguing' about in the first photo, but we obviously resolved it - LOL!

The grungeboard swirls (and alphas) were originally a cream/mustard colour but they just didn't work with the papers. I inked them orange and added in some orange flowers and it seemed to tie everything together much better.

Hard to tell in the photo, but I applied glossy accents to the butterfly and looks fantastic in real life!

Sketch 75 Is Posted at Creative Scrappers

Missed You!

Wow, I can't believe its been an entire WEEK since my last post!! So sorry! My son came down with a horrible fever last Friday and it persisted for 3 days straight. On Thanksgiving Monday, I took him to the ER...mother's instinct. Long story short, he was diagnosed with pneumonia!! He has been taking the antibiotics and is thankfully responding wonderfully to them. What a scare!

As a result, I haven't been too scrappy lately. I am creating, but can't share my projects with you all quite yet. On Wednesday, I will be able to share some layouts from Kit 'N' Kaboodles Kit Club and on Saturday, I'll have a heap of Graphic 45 layouts that I can finally share!! Yippie!

In the meantime, here is an altered kleenex box I created using Graphic 45 (sorry, I have an obsession) Fashionista papers. Happy Monday - see you on Wednesday (thanks for your patience!)

Creative Scrappers Reveal

Sketch 73 is posted over at Creative Scrappers.

Head on over and have a peek at what all the other Design Team members have done with the sketch created by the wonderfully talented (and dear friend) LG.

My Daddy Loves Me More Than The Sky! Here is a photo of my husband and daughter a few weeks ago at the park. So sweet to see them together and this tiny little peanut in his strong arms. Patterned papers are Graphic 45 and K&Cos Designer Paper pad, Cut 'N' Paste.

Felt flowers are from Jillibean Soup and I've also cut some out from a sheet of patterned paper - Christine Adolph Collection, Creative Imaginations.

The velvet letters are Anna Griffin. Just love the richness of this layout.

Still Lovin' It!

Man, I just can't get enough of these papers! They are seriously to DIE for! Everything matches so well!!!

Here's another layout I finished with the Kitchen Spice collection from Bo Bunny!

I have a hidden journaling tag that I tucked under the photo. Reads: Ever since you were a little baby, you have always had the most amazing attention span. You could sit for hours on end playing cars, doing your maze book, puzzles and your most favourite: creative play. Little Einsteins with mom, Transformers, Lightning McQueen cars and Bakugan.

Close up of some cut out work and some 3D fabric paint (my other newest obsession)

For Fun

Just got some new Bo Bunny papers and I think I'm in love!! WOW - what fabulous colours together!!! I ordered these from the states as I can't get them anywhere here yet. Just drool!

I finished this layout in about an hour last night - including paper choosing, composing the layout - everything! The papers just flow together so perfectly - I NEED more of this Kitchen Spice line!

So easy to do the embellies for this layout. The papers are perfect for fussy cutting.

I am quite thrify and am always looking for ways to stretch my dollar. The white dots are not stickles, but actually white 3D fabric paint by Tulip - its $2.50 for a bottle twice the size of a bottle of stickles - same great effect right?!
