Remember

In the Cultural Extras Challenge over at the 7 Dots Studio Blog, we are sharing projects inspired by the places we live: our neighborhood, city or just our favorite place all around. I love where I live!! BC has to have the most amazing climate in all of Canada! I don’t know where else you can head up to one of the local mountains for a morning of skiing and finish up with a round of golf all in the same day. We are very fortunate to live in a beautiful, friendly neighborhood – close to parks (we especially love our bunny park where we feed bunnies, ducks and even geese), schools and our local dyke which makes for a wonderful, daily walk. Our little town is home to a quaint fishing village which is overflowing with history and culture.
We are also a stone’s throw from the ocean which we vist at least once a week. The kids love building sandcastles and wading in the water.  Here is a super quick video of my wee ones playing in the waves a few weeks back.
The layout I have included for this challenge is of my son last summer at one of our favourite local parks. He was in heaven floating his home-made boat down the little river.
As you can see, I've ventured out and tried my hand at a new medium - Gesso!  Oh my, I am so addicted to this stuff!! You will definately be seeing more projects adorned with this lovely substance in the next little bit!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Until next time!

Great LO!Isn't it amazing what Gesso can do for paper crafting. It transforms everything!
I don't think I could handle living very far from the shore, although I am on the other side of the country and facing the Atlantic. :D
Thanks for sharing! :)
