Nothing but a Memory
Happy Boxing Day! The design team at 7 Dots Studio was challenged to think about our New Year’s resolutions and to-do lists and how we could incorporate journaling in our projects.Not sure if you are aware or not, but since the end of October, I’ve been having some pretty major health issues effecting my heart and lungs. It has been so very frustrating for me as I’ve undergone test after test and seen so many specialists who were trying to figure out what was causing the problem of it making it difficult for me to breathe.
There are 5 pages written up in detail (which I’ll spare you the details) of my ups and downs over the course of the past little while. In summary, it seems as though some kind of nasty virus decided to camp out in my heart and lungs and is finally making its way out. It will still take many months for my body to heal, but I think everything will work itself out in the end...

More detail shots. The hinges are not just for decoration. When opened they reveal inside pockets with journal pages which document my journey for the past few months.

HI.. oh i am sorry to read you haven't been well and it seems to be going on for some time.. i do hope you are on the road to recovery.. times of long sickness do take their toll on your mental health as well so i do hope you can overcome all of this... i trust 2012 will be a better year for you.. this layout is a labour of love by the look of it.. it is amazing.. so many details... really special to document the hard times as well as the good.. all the best to you for 2012..
I hope you recover soon and are back to good health. I like your page and how you have created it with the hinges for the hidden journaling. So many pretty embellishments and techniques on it.

Thanks for sharing your story. its good to hear that you are starting to get better.Looking at your layouts to do list makes me feel that I take so much for granted, and also has inspired me to scrap not just happy moments but maybe this year some tuff times and set backs as well. All the best to you in 2012.

Wow what a fantastic LO! I am so sorry to hear about thee health problems- wishing you good health in the new year!!! We have had a similar year with our daughter(20) they still haven't found the cause for many seizures and tremors. I will be praying for you and her!

Sorry to hear that you haven't been well. I am amazed that you keep putting out such beautiful work. What a good idea to keep a record of what you have been through and what tests have been done. It is too easy to forget after a while. My daughter (21) has been through a lot, as well, for the past 4 months and I can't wait for the doctors to come up with an answer. It just takes time.
