Happiness Is...

7 Dots Studio has a new challenge for you! The focus for this month is twine, thread or wire – everything you can find at home, in your garage, attic or at your local flea market!

I've created my layout with the beautiful Domestic Goddess Collection and a few random strings of baker's twine - love this stuff!

 

I attached a few pieces of twine to some balloons I created using a heart-shaped punch.  Love the whimsical feeling these add to the project.

What?

Haven't you ever decorated your entire house by Remembrance day? Last weekend I decided to 'tidy' up a few things and somehow, a few of the Christmas Decorations made their way outside...

 

Well, you can't very well have the outside of your house decorated and not the inside, right? Yep, this year we got our holly on a titch earlier than normal...

We had a special treat of eggnog and snowmen cookies, listened to Kenny G's Holiday CD and Decked the halls!!

What?  Don't deny it - you totally want to put all your decorations up now, don't ya???  Have a great rest of your weekend!

Balloons

I created a layout with a bright and colourful colour scheme that invites you in. When working with a neutral photo (black and white) it is so easy to add colour to your projects.

Here I’ve added bold yellows paired with deep, beautiful pinks.

The black accents throughout the project help to tie in the various elements and embellishments within the layout.

Adding lots of layers and textures to your projects also adds to the overall deapth and richness of your layouts.

Love Letters

Happy weekend to everyone! It is a long weekend for us over in BC and I am hoping to spend some quiet, family time together - here's hoping the weather holds up for us! I have a new layout to share with you today using the Love Letters collection from Bo Bunny.

A sweet friend had sent me some photos of her grandaughter and I decided to surprise her with a layout. I am planning on using the photos to make a special mini album for her but could not resist scrapping this photo. Isn't she just adorable?!

 

Everything you see on this project is from Bo Bunny - including the gorgeous blossoms. I love the bold colours of this line, mixed with the intense black tones.

Flying Unicorn Guest Designer!

I am so happy to share that I had the opportunity to Guest Design for the Flying Unicorn Kit Club this month and let me tell you - WHAT A KIT!!! Never in my life have I seen such a gorgeous, gigantic kit, FULL of the most beautiful papers, embellishments, flowers and elements - ever!  The papers were super shabby chic - I honestly couldn't have created a more beautiful kit, perfectly suited to my own style!
