Secondly, I wanted to create something totally different so I created a layout with lots of mists and inks and embellishments.  What do you think? (Original is below...)

 

Here are a few close ups of my page.  Lots of layers. I also added in some eyelets and a few metal pieces from my stash.  Otherwise, all you see here is from the kit - but just majorly altered!

Your Smile

Bo Bunny had a fun challenge on their blog last week. The designers were asked to create a layout using only the following supplies:
3 Sheets of patterned paper
1 Sheet of cardstock
1 Package of stickers
1 Package of embellishments
You need not use the entire package of embellishments or stickers - the extras could be used to make cards, tags or even another layout, but you were limited to using only the supplies above.

For my layout, I used Bo Bunny's Apple Cider collection as I loved the bright and cheery colours.  The only things I added to my project were inks and stamps.

To lengthen the life of my embellishments, I decided to cut a few of my flowers in half and tuck them underneath a few of my papers. I also took some of the centres out of the flowers and used around my photo for an extra textured, jewel-like embellishment.

Lots of layers of papers, stickers and stamps create lots of eye candy on your project and you can also use several types of paper punches to create additional textures on your project.

The Popsicle

Tonight we were visited by the ice cream truck, just like most evenings. Except, on this special night, we actually let the kids pick out a popsicle.

They were in heaven (in case you couldn't tell).  My eldest had a bit of a mishap with his (fell on the ground (5 sec. rule!) so he began eating it with his hands.  Unfortunately, it started to melt a wee bit quicker than he had anticipated...not that he seemed to care.

Spread Your Wings...

TGIF!! Hope you all have some wonderful plans for this upcoming weekend! I'd like to share with you a layout that I made for this past summer CHA 2012, which appeared in the ZVA Creative Booth.

Loads of beautiful, purple flowers and new crystal flourishes to coordinate.  The All I Ever Collection from 7 Dots Studio was perfectly suited to bring this project together and really make it over the top purple with a punch!

Here I've included some newer rose blossoms with the bulk 3D blooms from ZVA as well.

Ohhh look at that lovely, two toned purple flourish!!

Here are a few of ZVA's pearl pieces that I added along with my crystal flourishes to complete the top of my banner.

Little Miss Mini Album!

You Are My SonShine

The Bo Bunny Designers were recently challenged to create a project that focussed on clusters.  I chose to create a layout with flower clusters as you can see here (duh!).  I used papers from Bo Bunny's Hello Sunshine collection - super bright, colourful and happy papers non?

I just love adding lots of layers of papers and embellishments to all of my projects and as you can see here, there are many layers of everything! Chipboard on top of chipboard, papers and crochet elements as well.  Just love the dimension and texture it adds to my projects.

Keep in mind that when adding clusters to your projects, to balance your clusters.  On my layout, I have added a flower cluster to the bottom right hand corner.  To balance the embellishments I have also added a cluster as you see above to the top left hand corner to balance my layout and to draw the eye around the entire page.
